Malformed version panic in upgrade to 2.6.0

Description

Upgrade from PG 2.5.0 to PG 2.6.0 is throwing the following error:

STR:
1) Deploy PG 2.5.0
2) Apply 2.6.0 CRD
3) Apply 2.6.0 RBAC
4) Patch operator deployment with operator 2.6.0 image.
