Multi-DC 3 node cluster deployment with ingress deployment

Description

Request is to have cross-site cluster deployment across multiple data centers with ingress. Support for multi-DC is available now but not with ingress.

Hi , it was implemented for PSMDBO 1.18.0 and released five months ago. Also, Something was wrong with Jira automation, which is why we have the wrong status.

What version will contain the GA version? I know we did a tech preview already.

There are few missing points:

  1. In order to start just a single mongod on each location we need:

  1. TLS certificates generated by the operator are not suitable and it’s required to create certificates on a primary before creating a primary cluster with all names from “replsetOverrides” and “externalNodes”.

  2. I’ve tried today to create a primary cluster using both “replsetOverrides” and “externalNodes” and it’s able to initialize the cluster properly even if replicas from externalNodes are not yet created. The only important moment: TransportServer resources should be created before primary cluster deployments
