S3 backups deletion in custom S3 storage (minio) fails with x509 unknown ca certificate

Description

In operator 1.11.0, verifyTLS option (true/false) was added, so backups in custom S3 storage is now working, but this option is for the xtrabackup pod created on a backup event.
When a delete request is sent for a backup, the backup resource stays in removing status indefinitely as the operator himself tries to connect to the s3 backend, and fails with a x509 unknown ca certificate.
