With popularity of ARM architecture not only for workstations (macbooks) but also for servers, there is a growing demand for ARM packages for the database servers.

Acceptance criteria (from the Notion roadmap ticket):

• arm64 builds released and available to the customers on selected OSs:

  • RHEL / Oracle Linux

  • Ubuntu / Debian

    • due to customer request let’s prioritize ubuntu 22.04

• builds should be available for the versions 7 and 6

  • let’s prioritize 6.0 as it’s more adopted now and asked for by a customer

• documentation on the build process available

• blogpost released covering the fact that these are available to the customers only

• community forum entries answered

• CSMs and TAMs contacted about extra value to their customers

Due to a customer reaching out we are prioritizing the OS and MongoDB version that they require.
