We have been successfully implementing PMM as a monitoring solution for our customers. However, it has come to our attention that PMM does not currently monitor the health of Mongos instances. As such, it is essential that we establish a mechanism to alert customers whenever a Mongos instance goes down, enabling them to take appropriate action and address the issue promptly.

At present, if customers wish to monitor Mongos health, they are required to implement a separate monitoring solution. This introduces an additional layer of complexity to their environment and could potentially lead to increased costs.

We would appreciate your consideration of this matter and look forward to a potential solution.
