This is a feature request, not a bug. It'd be useful if pt-diskstats output could be stored real-time in a mysql table. Perhaps after each interval (--interval) vs. a bulk load (--save-samples). Once recorded there are many avenues for usage be it real-time Nagios monitoring, cacti graphs or deeper analysis that can't be done in a flat file like averages, percentiles, deviations, etc.
The option name --save-samples-mysql may be fitting
