xbcloud - Failed to download object

Description

I have an issue similar to https://jira.percona.com/browse/PXB-2224

Host A - Where I take the backup

  • xtrabackup, xbstream, xbcloud version is 2.4.23

  • IAM User policy is limited to BUCKET/BACKUP_FOLDER/IAM_USER/BACKUP_FILENAME

  • Backup command:

 

Host B - Where I try to restore

  • xtrabackup, xbstream, xbcloud version is 2.4.23

  • Restore command:

 

This is the error I get:

 

Its trying to download this file that doesn't exists:

 

 

 Thinking it could be a globbing issue with BACKUP_DIR_NAME I renamed it and checked again:

backup/IAM_USER/2021-09-14-full_backup --> backup/IAM_USER/full_backup

 

but now I get the following error:

 

 

Now it tries to download another file that doesnt exists

What happens if you try to browse via aws console on this bucket, can you see this particular file?

I tried few times and i can't reproduce this issue in my test.

I'm using xtrabackup version 2.4.24 based on MySQL server 5.7.35 Linux (x86_64) (revision id: b4ee263)

What is the OS version for source(backup source) and target(downloading to) server?

Try taking fresh backup and download using PXB 2.4.24 version.
