[ERROR] [MY-000000] [WSREP-SST] Missing version string in comparison

Description

On a node, joining from some downtime, a IST is started. Just after the start of the is I see the following error message.

 

Everything continues and the node performs it’s IST and joins the cluster. So everything seems to work fine, except of this error message.

Environment

We are using the docker image percona/percona-xtradb-cluster:8.0.31-23.1, so running the cluster in docker. We did not made any changes on this image.

We use flatcar as container platform

Closing the ticket as not reproducible anymore. Please reopen if able to reproduce again (hopefully providing reliable steps to reproduce )

Today I recreated the cluster with the previous version (which we had in production, percona/percona-xtradb-cluster:8.0.34-26.1) and with that version I can’t reproduce this error.
