Problem description

I have two storages configured in PBM. When I start a physical restore, PBM stores restore metadata in main storage regardless of backup storage.

STR:

• Configure two storages

• Run a physical backup in each storage

• Restore to each backup

• No .pbm.restore in external storage

• All restore metadata are stored in .pbm.restore in main storage

I expected each restore to be stored in its respective storage.

If this is the expected behavior, we should update https://docs.percona.com/percona-backup-mongodb/usage/restore-progress.html to document this.

Solution proposition

This is expected behavior. We need to update the docs mentioned above.
