Be able to use custom name for backups with PBM

Description

Is there a way to be able to name a backup by the way we want instead of the date?

This allows to add somes elements such as the environment or the clusters that are used during the backup.

Hello Agbo.

No, there isn't a way to do that.

But for different environments you should be using a different subdirectory path, and/or different buckets (if using object storage) for each MongoDB deployment anyhow.

Eg. if there was a "MediaAssetHistory" non-sharded replica set, a "UserMX" cluster and a "TaskLog" cluster at your company I think it would be typical to save their backups in "MediaAssetHistory", "UserMX" and "TaskLog" subdirectories (the storage.s3.prefix setting or the storage.filesystem.path setting) in the same remote storage location.

If you had the same backup storage server shared between development, QA and production environments then the environment name should also be incorporated in the subdirectory path. Eg. "prod/MediaAssetHistory", "prod/UserMX" and "prod/TaskLog".
