Inconsistent behaviour when stats_persistent enabled and decryption fails

Description

This bug was filed in MariaDB bug system as it concerns encryption threads feature that was ported from MariaDB.

For the time being we will see if they decide to fix it themselves and eventually port the fix. We will come back to this bug after getting more pressure items related to encryption threads out of the way. If the bug is not fixed by then by MariaDB we will fix it ourselves .

This is behavior inherited from MariaDB error handling. Error handing will be replaced by and this problem should no longer be valid.
