[ERROR] Slave I/O for channel '': error connecting to master

Description

Hi Team,

 

We are facing a strange issue with percona server(5.7.27-30-log). when we are setting up replication using dns it is throwing error:

while we are able to nslookup and ping the dns name from console:

Hi Ankit,

As we can see in my test, I don't see any issue with replication when using the hostname as follows,

Thanks for looking into it. I am able to connect MySQL via command line using client.

Hi

check if you are able to connect to master from slave using the same hostname/dns via mysql client?

this might be a connection issue and not a  bug.
