Thank you for the report.
i have tried reproducing the issue and it is repeating, please find my test case below:

Also please note that it is repeating in following PS and Upstream Versions as well

  1. Percona-Server-8.0.27-18

  2. Upstream-8.0.26

  3. Upstream-8.0.27

It is not repeating in Upstream-8.0.28 that's why upstream bug is not filed.
