LP #1662759: PKG XtraDB Cluster Linux.Generic Tarball init script uses /usr/sbin/mysqld

Description

**Reported in Launchpad by James Brown last update 21-02-2017 10:03:28

The init script under support-files/mysql.server in the Linux.Generic tarball for Percona XtraDB Cluster 5.7.16 references /usr/sbin/mysqld instead of $bindir/mysqld, causing it to fail to start up when not in bootstrap-pxc mode.

A patch is attached which fixes the init script.

Suggested fix could be:

But the script has more issues:

1.

This works only on RedHat family. Debian/Ubuntu do not have such a file and actions they support are different.
2.

This would not work with 8.0 and 5.7 tarballs, because mysqld is installed into the bin directory. It should be $bindir.

Probably more outdated code exists in this script.

It is still valid.
