Hi ,
Back in the day, PS and PXC configured error log rotation by default.
Starting from PS 5.7 this was removed, leaving the configuration to the user. However, PXC 5.7 still had rotation configured by default.
PS and PXC 8.0 both don't have rotation configured by default, leaving this to the administrator.
Please note that PS/PXC does not rotate logs by itself. There is no such functionality within the server. logrotate or other mechanism has to be configured according to particular needs.

After the upgrade from PXC 5.7 to 8.0 I've noticed {{/var/log/mysql/error.log }}keeps growing without rotation.
Back in 5.7 the logs were stored in {{/var/log/mysqld.log }}and were rotated daily.
