Show:
PXC is idle but applier thread in "Query" state for "wsrep: committed write set".
How to Repeat :
1) Prepare sysbench objects :
2) Run sysbench for a few seconds :
3) Wait for some time then query on the applier/reader node, we will have below result where it is idle but in "Query" state for "wsrep: committed write set" . I also got similar result in PXC 8.0.32.
Additional information
In https://www.percona.com/blog/improved-wsrep-stages-and-related-instrumentation/ the "wsrep: committed write set" stage show it should be in "Sleep" state.
My test with PXC 5.7 it also show Sleep when it is idle.
Suggested Fix :
Please set to Sleep status when the thread is already idle like its behavior in PXC 5.7.
Workaround :
Ignore the "Query" status of "wsrep: committed write set" when INFO is NULL.
